Weekly recap 06.21.24: Dancing, Lightness of being, Exhaling, Breathwork, Mast Cell triggers, Testing for Mast cell Activation, Constipation protocol.
Hey Soundbite family:
Before I get into this week’s summary. Some of you might be asking “What’s up with Rinde posting so much lately?” It’s a fair question as I always prided myself on maybe posting once per month or less. Why? Maybe it was fear of tall-poppy syndrome or of interest of being polite. Perhaps a bit of both. Yet, after 18 years of seeing patients I am bursting at the brim to share what I have learned and continued to learn and I can no longer sit on the sideline in fear of offending someone or standing out too much.
My practice is very busy and the 3.0 version of my practice needs to provide another way to connect with people and also to grow my business and profitability.
So over the last four years I have been speaking, podcasting, writing more, giving more webinars; all in effort to continue connect with people who need what I offer.
If this ends up not being what people want from me then I probably will find a different avenue to share my information.
With that enjoy this weeks recap.
Inspiration from the week:
I am still smiling from a wedding I attended this week. It’s such a great joy to see a young couple commit to each-other and start a life full of hope, dreams, and shared values. The energy was so amazing and the blended cultures of all the families and communities involved was something I find uplifting. As with many traditions; each one has it own dance, music, and cuisine. The music and dancing was heavily influenced by Central Asia Middle East, Caucasus , Turkish, and Uzbekistani roots that filled the room. This will give you an idea of the beats of Ubek dancing.
I love dancing and if the music is just right and you let go of inhibitions; you can really experience altered states that are very healthy. Central Asian music seems to be such a blend of so many rhythms and beats heard from all over the world. Dancing this way shows how much the world shares in common.
On the flip side, my 98 year-old friend Arnold passed away this week. I attended his funeral and visited with his family afterwards. What was remarkable about this man is that even to the last day of his life he never stopped being current. He kept interested, engaged, and growing in mind and learning all through his life. In addition, whenever you saw him he would ask all about your family and then say something clever or witty that would make you laugh. I once asked him what his secret was to growing old so well and he said; “laugh a lot and don’t take yourself too seriously”. Words to live by. We will miss you Arnold.
